Lend Me a Tenor - Tickets on sale now

<table><tr><td valign=“top”>image</td>
<td>Here comes the first week of March already ...

Get ready to laugh away the winter blahs with a somewhat naughty farce!
Lend Me a Tenor is the play. il Stupendo is the worlds sexiest tenor, but this is definitely not an opera. Its a hilarious comedy full of mistaken identity and misunderstandings, side-splitting gag lines, frenzied comings-and-goings as two lusty young women chase after a man who may, or may not, be il Stupendo.
Theres a doors-and-drawers flourish of colour: the astonishing art-deco set with its six doors ... and the flash of 30s costumes, right down to the mint-green knickers! </td></tr></table>

  1. I have a LMAT/ACT-related story which involves Nils Ling whose loud guffaws while reading LMAT during rehearsals brought our “Crucible” work to a halt - repeatedly.

If not for “Noises Off”, I’d have to say I consider “Lend Me a Tenor” the funniest farce of the twentieth century.

“Lend Me a Tenor” was a huge hit when it opened in New York in 1989. Critics hailed the work as:

    Uproarious! Hilarious!” - USA Today
    A rib-tickling comedy.” - New York Post
    Screamingly funny. - CBS Radio

“Lend Me a Tenor” received two Tony Awards, as well as four Drama Desk and three Outer Critics Circle Awards.  The play was a sensation in London and was nominated for an Olivier Award. LMAT has been produced in eight languages.

Here’s hoping you rock the audience’s world!

  2. Thanks David. I remember Nils doing what you say, but had forgotten which play he had been reading!!

I think our audience is going to have a blast. The show is wonderful and so is our cast. I have been to a couple of rehearsals and have been pretty impressed.

  4. Thanks Jennifer—it was a wonderful opening night. We are receiving so many calls from folks letting us know how much fun they had.

Rob Thomson passed along this message he received…

“Rave review this morning from Marilyn McKenna (who helped with Front of House). Everything was perfect, she says. Tears of laughter rolled down her and her daughter’s cheeks.”
