This ACT Member Was A Real “Shoe-In” As Co-Producer!

A foot in Peru

A native “Bluenoser”, Brenda moved to the Island two and a half years ago – after what she calls “an absolute age”  teaching music, drama, and dance in Nova Scotia. While teaching high school she directed productions such as Anne of Green Gables, The Sound of Music, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Click on “more” to find out why Brenda will be “kicking up her heels” when the curtain opens on JCS!

Upon her arrival on the Island, Brenda says she was immediately “suckered’ into producing Trial By Jury for ACT. Since then, she has been on the production team of three other shows – Office Hours, The Gondoliers, and Murder in the Cathedral.

Over the past year she has been working on a book that tells the stories of eleven influential music teachers in Nova Scotia.  “It has been a labour of love, to be sure,” Brenda admits.

She also spent three fascinating weeks in Peru this past June.

Brenda delights in hours spent in her garden, and she’s the proud new momma for two cats – Sheba and Poussette. She also owns many, many pairs of shoes. “I especially love the black and red ones with the hearts on the soles!” Brenda smiles.
