Project Management Training now available in Charlottetown!

Would you like to learn some tools and techniques that will help you make your next creative venture more successful?  Project Management methodologies are used in several sectors and they have been proven to be effective, regardless of the type of project.  This is not a rigid philosophy. Project Management can be adapted for a number of environments so while you are learning how to make things go more smoothly on your next show, if you have another profession or are considering one, this training could help advance your other career.

The course is being taught by Janice Petley, an experienced Event Producer and Production Manager. She has worked on a wide range of projects from theatrical shows and sporting events to rock concerts and live-to-air television specials. Drawing upon this experience, Janice is able to provide scenarios in her training which are interesting and accessible to a wide variety of people and organizations.

This 3-day course is designed to give new project managers and project team members the essential tools they need to successfully deliver projects.  It covers the complete project life cycle, from initial project definition, through project implementation, and finally to the often neglected project completion phase. This course is in conformance with the internationally recognized standards of the Project Management Institute and it will provide an excellent prerequisite for those who wish to take more advanced courses and earn their designation as a Project Management Professional.

“Project Management Applied Tools and Techniques” takes place at the Charlottetown Hotel on March 8th – 10th from 9:00 – 5:00.  The fee for the course (including materials, refreshments, and lunches) is $749.00 plus GST if registered before January 28th and $795.00 plus GST after January 28th. Registration is limited to 20 participants. This course is identical to the course at the University of Toronto for $1,320.00 and very similar to the course at the course at St. Mary’s for $1,499.00
