Occupational Voice Workshop

The PEICA recently received information about an Occupational Voice Workshop being held on October 9, 2004 at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel from 8:30-12:30. The workshop fee is $35.00.

It is being presented by the PEI Speech and Hearing Association and is intended for individuals who rely on their voice as a primary tool of their trade. The presenter is Dr. Linda Rammage, Ph.D., SLP(C), Registered Speech-Language Pathologist.

According to their brochure: “You will learn how to care for and use your voice effectively. This will include techniques to maintain a healthy voice and remedy existing voice issues (vocal hygiene; dealing with background noise; coping strategies; and use of proper posture, breathing, intonation, relaxation, etc.) Hands-on work will focus on the popular therapy manual “Vocalizing with Ease.”

Registration is at 8:30, with the workshop itself beginning at 9 am.
