Carl Philips

Carl utters “Good Caiaphas! The Council waits for you!” as he makes his entrance onto the JCS stage, appearing in later scenes as part of the crowd, a leper, part of the mob and then switches back to being a priest.

This past summer Carl sang with the Indian River Chorus and played the role of the Messenger in “Murder in the Cathedral”. Before that you may have seen him in minor roles in three Gilbert and Sullivan musicals produced by ACT. Being a member of several Island Choirs, Carl particularly enjoyed singing harmony parts in those productions.

A retired school teacher, Carl especially enjoys outdoor activities and travel.
