Annual General Meeting

The 2005 AGM - 18 June

This is the notice of the Annual General Meeting of ACT - a community theatre

Date/time: Saturday 18 June ... social beginning at 5:00 pm (bring what you’d like to drink) ... meeting at 6:00 ... then supper (bring something good for the potluck)

Place: Annie & Martin Carter’s home, 41 Prince Charles Drive in Charlottetown (368-3937)

Some main topics for the AGM:


<li>Revision of the Constitution. Review the proposed changes - posted on the ACT website.</li>

<li>Election of officers for the Board of Directors. Review the proposed slate - posted on the ACT website.</li>

<li>Confirmation of other (appointed or continuing) members of the Board of Directors. Other candidates can be nominated: if you want to do that, call Rob Thomson (892-3288)

  Note: we’re especially looking for a bookkeeper.</li>


<li>Review of the successful 04/05 season</li>

<li>Plans for the 05/06 season of productions</li>

<li>A toast to our 10th anniversary</li>


Entertainment: a whimsical 45-minute version of Shakespeare’s King Lear by the company present, directed by Terry Pratt. Produced by `Shakespeare in a Box’ and made available to ACT by Emily Hanlin.

ACT is more than just two or three shows a year on stage. It’s about the promotion of all kinds of theatre-related skills and activity … and it’s also a social creature. The Annual Meeting is full of both purposes. So come along, and bring a spouse / date or a friend who might be wanting to get a taste of theatre. It’s a really good time.time.
