Don’t miss ‘Christmas Remembered’
Don’t miss Christmas Remembered, a collage of readings, songs and music “in the round” at Beaconsfield’s charming Carriage House. The cast includes Cyril Armstrong, Quincy Beck, Madison Bernard, Cathy Grant, Jacob Hemphill, Debbie Maloney, Terry Pratt, Paul Whelan and Sophia Wong. Some of the highlights of the programme include Frederick Forsythe’s The Shepherd, The Gift of the Magi, and A Visit from St. Nicholas set to music especially for this show by Hank Stinson. The show plays this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm. Tickets are $12. ACT members will get a $2 discount at the door.

Music and Food at the Marketplace
Every Monday through Friday from 12:00 to 1:15pm, The Marketplace offers a unique lunch experience. In addition to the varied selections of a brunch menu, soups, salads and sandwiches, specialty coffee and teas, and famous desserts, entertainment is served by pianist Glen MacEachern.
The Joyful Sounds of Christmas
A Joyful Sound chorus will present the Christmas Story with scripture readings and arrangements of traditional and contemporary Christmas music. The choir, under the direction of Owen Aylward and accompanied by Frances McBurnie, will be performing on Sunday December 11, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Winsloe United Church, located on Rte. 223 in Winsloe. Admission is by donation.

Guadalcanal - the Christmas letter ...
This year’s big personal news, of course, is that we’re in the South Pacific.
A reminder of how that came about ... A year ago we mentioned to the PEI rep for CUSO (the volunteer-sending organization with whom we went to Malawi and Malaysia in the late 60s/early 70s) that we could be interested in going overseas when we retired. She said: ‘Give me a resumé and I’ll start looking—it can take a year or a year and a half to find a good match.’ So I did that in February, a bit after turning 60.
