End the CBC Lockout
Dear Gerry:
Enough is enough. The CBC lockout has meant services that many Canadians rely upon and desperately miss have been unavailable for too long. I hope you will join me and other concerned Canadians to send a strong message to CBC President Robert Rabinovitch to END THE CBC LOCKOUT. You can send a message using FRIENDS’ online action centre by visiting:

Support CBC! Artists rally today!
Thursday, Sept. 22 at noontime, PEI’s writers and musicians and artists and actors—and anyone interested in the arts – are invited to join the CBC line in support of our locked-out friends at the CBC. As artists, we’re especially feeling the loss of our local CBC, since our book launches and concerts and interviews—basically, the stories about US!—are NOT getting heard. Let’s take this opportunity to protest what CBC management is doing to our beloved CBC.
For the good of our community, let’s make our voices heard.
And, if you can, bring an item for the food bank, as—in typical CBC Prince Edward Island fashion—it’s a food drive as well.

Fond Farewell
Unbelievable. That’s what that airport goodbye was. We just cannot believe what good people we have as friends. You took us—and the rest of the airport!!—completely by surprise with your parade. Wonderful!
We are in Vancouver for a few days, enjoying the Western half of our family. And struggling to get the baggage down to 20 kg + one 5-kg carry-on per person. On Tuesday (6th) to Thursday (8th) we’ll go LA, Aukland, Brisbane, Solomon Islands.
