I am collecting orders for t-shirts and sweat shirts. These are only available to anyone involved in our production. Here is the order form
Prices are approximate as the final costs have yet to be worked out. They are dependent on how many of us order shirts.
Please returned the form to me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) by Saturday, 25th and I will also take orders on Sunday, 26th at rehearsal.
Please remember that these are open to everyone in the production—on-stage, off-stage, below-stage (ie orchestra), wardrobe, publicity, builders, painters….
ACT Presents Jesus Christ Superstar
“What’s the buzz, tell me what’s happening” sings the chorus in Jesus Christ Superstar. And this fall, there is no shortage of buzz about ACT’s production of Superstar to be staged in November.
“What’s the buzz, tell me what’s happening” sings the chorus in Jesus Christ Superstar. And this fall, there is no shortage of buzz about ACT’s production of Superstar to be staged in November.
Having just completed a highly successful run of Murder in the Cathedral at the Indian River Festival, ACT is rehearsing Jesus Christ Superstar to appear at the Confederation Centre November 4th, 5th, and 6th. ACT organizers report that they’ve never experienced as much community “buzz” about a production as they have for Jesus Christ Superstar. Over 80 individuals from all over the Island, and of all ages, auditioned for the production.

Beach House Tools and Materials Drive
Hi Folks,
As we prepare to build our first set at the Beach House AND to have the facility partially “equipped” for such thespian activity, we are asking that you search your basement, storage shed, attic, or car trunk and identify any tools (hammers, screwdrivers, tape measures, etc) that you no longer require and that might be donated to a permanent “tool box” at the Beach House.
Also, if you have any slightly damaged pieces of plywood or Styrofoam that you were hoping to dispose of, we could put them to excellent use in building the set pieces for Superstar.
The Beach House will be open next Saturday morning (September 25) from 10:00am-noon for “deliveries” of said materials and equipment.
Any donations to the cause would be much appreciated.
Thanks so much
Broadway film not to be missed . . .
Be sure to see “Broadway- The Golden Age”.
Hello Everyone-
I am writing to you after a wonderful evening at the movies in Chicago. I live right around the corner from the city’s main independent cinema (I am a lucky girl!!). I saw a film entitled “Broadway- The Golden Age”. It was fabulous.

Advertising
As ACT does not normally receive Government subsidy, we relay very heavy on our membership fees, our ticket sales and our advertising to finance our activities. If your business would like to help us, you may do so by purchasing advertising in our production programmes.

Call for Superstar Production Assistance
Hi folks,
Well, the buzz is happening and we are well under way for ACT’s 10th anniversary Jesus Christ Superstar production. Rehearsals with the 45 member cast are filled with energy. Plans for the set and costumes are very exciting indeed.
Now we need help to realize those plans. Here are the specific areas where extra hands are required…
1. Set Construction: Folks to assist Garnie Gallant in building and basic painting. Flexible hours can be accommodated for individuals throughout the week and weekend until production week.
2. Costume Construction: Folks to assist with building costumes. Lots of straight sewing – tunics, tabards, loose pants, etc. Flexible commitment – all work must be done by October 23.
3. Artistic Set Painting: One or two folks to paint textures / patterns on fabric (eg brick and stone patterns for cathedral walls and gates)
Help is required immediately!!!
If you are able to assist, please reply to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or contact Gerry Gray or Brenda Porter at 569-5633.
